Summary
This deviation revises and supersedes Class Deviation 2026-O0002, issued on December 18, 2025. It implements section 1801(a) of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2026 and corrects numbering and citation errors. Contracting officers must use revised Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 1 and Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) Part 201 in place of the currently codified text.

Insert clause 252.201-7000, Contracting Officer's Representative (AUG 2026) (DEVIATION 2026-O0002). Use in solicitations and contracts, including commercial (Part 12) acquisitions, when appointment of a contracting officer's representative is anticipated.
Supersession
This revision supersedes Class Deviation 2026-O0002 issued on December 18, 2025. Do not use the prior version.
Duration
This deviation remains in effect until rescinded or incorporated into the FAR, DFARS and DFARS PGI.
NDAA Implementation
Section 1801(a) of the NDAA for Fiscal Year 2026 modifies the objectives of the defense acquisition system at DFARS 201.103-70.
