Summary
The deviation implements the Revolutionary Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Overhaul for FAR Part 5 and Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) Part 205, covering publicizing contract actions. Effective 2026-02-01, contracting officers must use the revised FAR Part 5 from the RFO web page and the attached DFARS Part 205 and DFARS Procedures, Guidance and Information (PGI) 205. These replace the currently codified text at 48 CFR chapters 1 and 2. The deviation remains in effect until rescinded or incorporated into the FAR, DFARS and DFARS PGI.
Contracting Officer Actions

Effective 2026-02-01, use the revised FAR Part 5 from the RFO web page. It replaces the codified text at 48 CFR chapter 1.

Effective 2026-02-01, use the attached DFARS Part 205. It replaces the codified text at 48 CFR chapter 2.

Effective 2026-02-01, use the attached DFARS PGI 205. It replaces the PGI text on the Defense Pricing, Contracting and Acquisition Policy web page.

Effective 2026-10-01, use the Solicitation Module within the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) for publishing unclassified solicitations and receiving offers and quotes. Exceptions apply per PGI 205.101-70(b)(1).

Insert clause 252.205-7000, Provision of Information to Cooperative Agreement Holders. Use in solicitations and contracts, including commercial (Part 12) acquisitions, except those solely for commercially available off-the-shelf items, expected to exceed $1.5 million.
Expiration
This deviation has no fixed expiration date. It remains in effect until rescinded or incorporated into the FAR, DFARS and DFARS PGI.
PIEE Solicitation Module exceptions
The Solicitation Module is not required for single-source actions, simplified acquisition procedures (FAR Part 13) actions, emergency acquisitions (FAR Part 18) actions or actions awarded outside the United States. Do not use the Module for broad agency announcements or task/delivery order solicitations until capability is developed.
Public announcement threshold
The Department of Defense (DoD) threshold for public contract award announcements is $9 million. Report all contractual actions, including modifications, with a face value exceeding $9 million. Do not report the same work twice.
