Duration
This deviation remains in effect until rescinded or incorporated into the FAR, DFARS and DFARS PGI.
Legal Basis
Section 2 of E.O. 14275 establishes that the FAR should only contain provisions required by statute or essential to sound procurement. Section 4(a) of E.O. 14265 requires elimination or revision of unnecessary supplemental regulations. OMB Memorandum M-25-26 provided additional guidance on the FAR overhaul.
