Summary
The deviation replaces FAR Part 27, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) Part 227 and DFARS Procedures, Guidance, and Information (PGI) 227 with revised versions effective 2026-02-01. It implements Executive Order 14275 and Executive Order 14265, which require removal of unnecessary procurement regulations. The deviation remains in effect until rescinded or incorporated into the FAR, DFARS and DFARS PGI.

For Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) contracts, use clause 252.227-7993 to govern SBIR/STTR data. See DFARS 227.7104 for full guidance on SBIR/STTR contracts.
